The White

Perfectionist

You are already a good coach. Why? Because you value perfection above all else. You are a true visionary with the ability to see what others cannot, and the self-discipline required to put in the hard work necessary to make things happen for your clients. Your integrity and wisdom can bring clarity and guidance to a confused world and you can be fearless when acting in the interests of improving life for others. You are not afraid to act according to your strong convictions, even if your actions go against what others believe. You have a special gift for teaching, enjoy helping people to learn and improve and you want to be accurate, thorough, fair and objective. Yes, you are already a good coach, but this journey is about taking the next step in your evolution and becoming a Soul Centric Coach.

Here is your map to guide you on your journey...

What is my map and why do I need it?

Your map is actually a physical map that you can hold in your hands which gives you the psychological understanding needed to become a Soul Centric Coach.

The outer layers of your map show you first-hand your everyday patterns of defence and armoured ways of being, whilst the centre of your map shows you the deepest aspect of who you are. The part of you that is undefended and free.

This aspect of who you are is, for the most part, blocked or buried, but is what you must access if you are to become a Soul Centric Coach. At the core of the White Perfectionist is the essential quality of Wholeness.

How does it work?

Our clients are exposed to many gurus encouraging them to be authentic, courageous and true to themselves. They tell them that they need to live in the now, detach from their thoughts or let go. There is so much about the what to do, but not many of these gurus teach the how.

The My Map Method is your opportunity to learn and use a method that literally shows your clients the how. You will be able to hold the map to this journey in your hands and learn how it can bring you and your clients, fulfilment, peace, joy, and freedom.

The map shows highly specific psychological and spiritual insights into the ways you armour yourself with patterns of thinking, acting and feeling that stop you from being authentic, true to yourself,  and prevent you from being able to live in the now.

Taking a Soul Centric Approach is about not only learning how the map works but also about applying it in your practice. This requires you to learn The My Map Method, so before using The My Map Method to work with your clients you must first tread the path yourself. If you are going to ask your clients to drop their armour, you must first drop your own armoured ways of being and take a Soul Centric approach to your work.

Your journey to becoming a Soul Centric Coach

As a White Perfectionist, you don your armour when you feel that you may be doing anything imperfectly, or that you may be making a mistake. You want to know what is considered appropriate and you tend to do things by the book. Continuously striving for self-improvement, you expect others to do the same. You need to know what is expected of you so that you can act accordingly and so that you can excel. You have a strong internal critic that constantly reminds you of what you should and shouldn’t do. You always act in accordance with your high standards and moral self-justifications. You prefer what is practical, grounded and stable and avoid appearing silly or frivolous to others. Your tendencies toward perfectionism mean you can become obsessive, self-critical and cause yourself a great deal of inner anxiety and unnecessary stress, particularly when you become obsessed with detail which can bring the added problem of losing sight of your goal.

In a coaching relationship this could mean that you often find yourself:

  • Overthinking things.

  • Worrying about doing things the right way.

  • Being self-critical if things are not going well, or just being self-critical.

  • Judging your clients for not making progress in line with your standards.

  • Overstretching your clients.

  • Repressing your feelings about the coaching relationship.

  • Becoming overly critical.

What does being a Soul Centric Coach mean for a White Perfectionist?

When you drop your usual armoured ways of being and reconnect with the Wholeness at the core of who you are you naturally…

  • Relax the need to get things absolutely 'right' in order to move clients forward.

  • Soften your tendency to set unrealistic standards for yourself (and your clients.)

  • Loosen your grip on your harsh self-judgements about your performance as a coach.

  • Accept where your clients are on their journey.

  • Feel a profound serenity throughout your whole body while you are coaching.

  • Free yourself from excessive thought and analysis in your coaching sessions.

  • Develop more ease and flow in your sessions.

  • Act intuitively and from the heart knowing exactly what is needed in the moment.

  • Open up and allow yourself to be seen by your clients.

  • Connect deeply with your clients so your presence does the heavy lifting of transformation.

Take your first step and try it out...
