Hello and welcome to this page. My name is Jane Douglas and I could not be happier to have you here. This page is your little corner of the internet that contains videos to support you on your creative journaling journey. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

This adventure is a coming home for me, and I hope it will be the same for you. It is the culmination and distillation of what I have learned in twenty plus years of teaching in the personal development arena.

 

One of the core ideas of The R.E.S.T. Practice is that in order to thrive and grow you must come to know who you are at the deepest level. Inner tranquility and wellbeing come when you know this aspect of yourself because that is where inner peace comes from. 

There are many words to describe who you are at your deepest level. Some people call it your authentic self, some call it your true self, some may even call it your soul. I like all these descriptions and use them interchangeably throughout this work.

Whatever you choose to call it you will know it as a felt sense of inner peace.

 

When you find the peace within, you open yourself up to the possibility of being fully alive no matter the circumstances and to being fully present for whatever life brings. But to realise the possibility of making this aspect of your being a bigger part of your human journey you need a practice that not only continually shows you the way home but also enables you to explore, heal and transform.

Through such a practice, you can dig more carefully into hidden resources, you can explore feelings that take you by surprise, and you can walk with a companion through times of confusion and stress. You also get to confront great questions about the meaning and purpose of your life and examine what it is you believe to be true about yourself and about life. This is the aim of The R.E.S.T. Practice.

Through the R.E.S.T. Practice, you will be invited to think about and reflect on your human experience and process things emotionally. You will do all this for one reason - to get back to the peace that already exists within you, to find the solace in becoming whole and unlock untapped reservoirs of wisdom and energy.

The R.E.S.T. Practice is a journey that always moves you toward, healing, wisdom, courage, and love.
