Is Creative Journaling to Unleash the Soul really a spiritual practice?
I've been asked this question a couple of times now. The whole intention of Creative Journaling to Unleash the Soul is awareness. To become aware of and fully intimate with your direct experience of the moment. To be fully present with what is unfolding right now.
Meditation is the same. A full experience that takes you beyond the everyday actions and reactions you experience on the surface to become aware of the present moment and it's ever changing sensations.
Both make you feel more real, a little more alive.
Awareness and meditation do not always make you feel “good”. In both you feel exactly as you feel, and through your journaling, you learn to love that, or at least to allow it, or at least to tolerate it a little more than you did yesterday.
The R.E.S.T. Practice that guides you through your journaling will take you on a journey that leads you to experience your essential nature. To reconnect with and enter into conversation with your Soul.
And if that’s not a spiritual practice, then I don’t know what is.
