When you use our website, My Map to Freedom automatically receives and records information on our server logs from your browser or mobile platform, including your location, IP address, and cookie information. An IP address is a number that is automatically assigned to your computing device when you use the Internet. IP addresses may be used to help diagnose problems with our server, administer the website, analyze trends, track users’ movement, gather broad demographic information for aggregate use in order for us to improve the website, and deliver customized, personalized content.  We reserve the right to use cookies and analyze web logs. Cookies are small text files sent to your computer or mobile device by the websites that you visit. We collect non-personal data via certain quizzes/polls/test questions/responses that will assist us in conducting research. This research data will only be collected and reported anonymously in aggregate form.  For example, we do not tie a specific visit to a specific IP address.

We use a third-party service, Google Analytics, to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site. This information is only processed in an anonymous way which does not identify anyone individually. We do not make, and do not allow Google to make, any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our website. If we do want to collect personally identifiable information through our website, we will be open about this. We will make it clear when we collect personal data and will explain what we intend to do with it.

Our Blogs

We use a third-party service, WIX, to publish our website pages and blogs. These sites are hosted at wixsite.com. We use a standard WIX service to collect anonymous information about users’ activity on the site, for example the number of users viewing pages on the site, to monitor and report on the effectiveness of the site and help us improve it. Registered Members of My Map to Freedom

If you are a registered member of My Map to Freedom, we may collect data directly from you, as well as analysing your browsing and purchasing activity, and your responses to marketing communications.  The results of this analysis, together with other demographic data, allows us to ensure that we contact you with information on products and offers that are relevant to you.  To do so, we use software and other technology (automated processing). We use Facebook pixels and WIX’s own Ascend Email Marketing platform to personalise how we communicate with you.

Collection and Use of Personal Data

If you purchase any products or services through the Website, your purchase will be processed through the secure third-party payment processing system displayed on the website and within the shopping cart and checkout facility. We do not collect personally identifiable data via our website and electronic communications unless you voluntarily and knowingly provide it to us, so you can browse our website without having to worry. Personal data means any information that may be used to identify you, such as, your name, your email or mailing address etc or any information that when used in conjunction with another piece of information may be used to identify you.

Communication via email

We use WIX’s own “Ascend” Email Marketing Software, to encrypt and protect email traffic and the data is stored in WIX’s own hosting centres and its handling satisfies the provisions of GDPR. Please seehow we do this here – WIX Sign Up Services >and WIX and GDPR >. If your email service does not support this, you should be aware that any emails we send or receive may not be protected in transit. We will also monitor any emails sent to us, including file attachments, for viruses or malicious software. Please be aware that you have a responsibility to ensure that any email you send is within the bounds of the law.

If you create an account on our website, you will create user credentials such as a user ID and password.  We do not collect your password(s)  If you forget your password, there is a ‘password reset’ option on the website that will allow you to reset your password. We will not send your password via email.

There are activities on our site that require you to be registered. For example, to receive quiz or test results or to make a purchase.  As part of the registration process we collect personal data.

  • We have taken every measure we can conceive to ensure security of data. We have security controls which protect the entire My Map to Freedom IT infrastructure from external attack and unauthorised access. The website is stored on the WIX hosting facility which is secured from hacking and virus attacks to the accepted industry standard, as you will see here WIX SSL and HTTPS secure data transfer information >.We secure the best as possible to ensure data security. What you can do to keep your personal data safe

To maximise your online safety both in relation to My Map to Freedom and more generally we recommend that you take the following security measures:

  • If you are using a shared computer then always log out of our website and close your browser.

  • Keep your account passwords private.  Anybody who knows your password may access your account, and remember, we will never ask you for your password.

  • When creating a password, use at least 8 characters. A combination of letters and numbers is best.  Do not use dictionary words, your name, email address, or other personal data that can be easily obtained. We also recommend that you frequently change your password.  You can do this by accessing your account, clicking ‘your account’, and selecting ‘change password’.

Once you enter another website, or a portion of another site is framed within our website, you agree that My Map to Freedom is not responsible for the privacy practices of these other sites.   • E-Communications from My Map to Freedom. My Map to Freedom will only send you emails or other electronic communications that you have agreed to receive. These may include tailored resources, results of polls, quizzes and/or tests taken on the My Map to Freedom website, offers and relevant marketing materials relating to My Map to Freedom. My Map to Freedom will never send you an email requesting your password, credit card number, or social security number. If you receive a message that looks like it is from My Map to Freedom but asks you for your credit card number or social security number, it is a fraudulent email, or “phish”. Refunds, Returns & Replacements

We are on a journey together and we want you to be delighted every step of the way. So, we offer a 30 day money back returns policy. This does not affect your statutory rights of 14 days to cancel any item purchased on-line. (please see our Events Cancellation Policy for details regarding our live events) 

  • The first step is to contact us on sandra@mymaptofreedom.com with the word RETURNS in the subject line and details of return or request for refund in the body of the email. You will receive a reply with details of how to return your item(s) to us.

 

  • Items for return and refunds should be sent to us in their original condition within 30 days, without any signs of use or damage and in their original packaging. 

 

  • Items for replacementif you return an item as damaged in transit or not as described within 30 days, we will replace this free of charge and refund your delivery costs (cheapest method to be used, but please use the original packaging if possible).

 

  • Refundswill be processed within 7 days and will be via the payment method you used for the purchase.

Event Cancellation

Events & Workshops Terms & Conditions & Cancellation Policy

 

If you need to cancel a booking

 

We have to commit with our venues and resources well in advance, so should you cancel or postpone your place on one of our events or workshops then the following will apply:

 

  • Cancellation with more than 6 weeks’ notice, 50% of the cost is will apply. 

  • Cancellation with less than 3 week’s notice but more than 1 week’s notice, 75% of the cost will apply.

  • Cancellation within 7 days of the date of the event or workshop, 100% of the cost will apply. 

  • Non-attendance, 100% of the cost will apply Jane – taken from LTI policy

 

All that said, we know that life can get in the way, and that sometimes exceptional and urgent circumstances happen that are beyond anyone’s control. In these times it is likely that letting us know you can’t attend is the last thing on your mind. We are real human people here and want to support you on your life journey so if this happens to you, please let us know.  

 

  • If you do wish to cancel a booking then please do so by contacting sandra@mymaptofreedom.com  with the word CANCELLATION in the subject line. 

  • You will receive a confirmation email of the cancellation followed by another email within 2 days confirming total cost payable and details of any refundable amount.

  • Any refund due will be processed within 7 days from receipt of notification of cancellation and will be via the payment method you used for the original payment.
