What does this add to the Enneagram?
Although the Enneagram is a highly accurate description of your personality and ego structure, it does not give you a solid method to navigate your way to the inner freedom.
In order to get beyond your personality you need two things:
Psychological understanding of your inner landscape.
A practice with a spiritual orientation, to navigate your inner landscape.

How does it work?
The My Map Method is unique because it blends psychological understanding with a spiritual practice.
Your map (your map is actually a physical map you can hold in your hands) gives you the psychological understanding needed for inner freedom. It works in a similar way to a traditional map, by acting as a visual guide revealing, the hectic and noisy mechanisms of your habitual personality traits, thoughts, and emotions.
The R.E.S.T. Process gives you a daily practice that helps you navigate your inner landscape through the challenges of everyday life and allows you to journey back to the peace and aliveness of your true self (in the centre of your map.)
The R.E.S.T. Process involves gently bringing loving awareness to what is happening in the moment and allowing whatever is happening to just be.
Why you, as a Orange Helper, find inner freedom difficult…
As an Orange Helper, the reasons you find inner freedom so difficult are related to the ways you ensure you always remain liked.
Because of your unconscious fear of being unloved, you will often believe that you are the only one who sees and can give people what they need.
In an effort to have your needs met, you may promise more than you can deliver or deliver more than you promise. Unconsciously, you may feel needy and want to be taken care of by others and can become emotional, sullen or overly dramatic, suffering from psychosomatic illnesses.
Whilst you are friendly, upbeat and want to be considered a ‘special’ friend you can get in your own way by overdoing your focus on shapeshifting to please others. Skilled at going out of your way to notice what is needed, you feel motivated when others acknowledge your efforts and express their appreciation, but you can be so focused on others that you don’t pay attention to your own unmet needs and feelings. Because you can’t help imagining that people are as sensitive to criticism as you are you may sugar-coat or shade the truth out of fear of hurting someone. Whilst you may believe that your giving nature is unconditional if you dig deep enough you will discover that you have a habit of strategic giving. Giving to make people feel indebted to you.
