Hello and welcome to this page. My name is Jane Douglas and I could not be happier to have you here. This page is your little corner of the internet that contains videos to support you on your creative journaling journey.
This adventure is a coming home for me, and I hope it will be the same for you. It is the culmination and distillation of what I have learned in twenty plus years of teaching in the personal development arena.
It is first and foremost about learning how to unleash your soul so that you can be fully alive no matter the circumstances. It is about learning how to be fully present for whatever life brings. Underneath your layers of protection lies your soul - the you that you have forgotten and knows the truth of who you really are. Your soul holds the wisdom and knowing you need to be able to show up and be fully present, unleashed and alive to whatever life has to offer.
Joseph Campbell, the famous mythologist wrote “I don’t think people are seeking meaning in their life. I think what they are seeking is to feel the rapture of being alive.” This yearning to feel alive wells up from deep within us and we know it to be real. Unleashing the soul is about learning how to live in ‘radical aliveness’ and is the primary intention of your journaling practice.
The videos on this page have been designed to support and enhance the practices detailed in your Unleashed Soul Guide. The videos demonstrate each of the three practices that you will learn.
The Power of R.E.S.T.
From Personality to Presence
You will notice that there are two videos for each practice. One video demonstrates something called 'The Single Media Approach' and one demonstrates something called 'The Mixed Media Approach.' The Introductory video and the Unleashed Soul Guide explain what each of these approaches are.
This is a self-paced journey in which you decide how quickly you move through the practices. However, I would advise that you do between 5 and 10 journal pages for each practice before you move on to the next one. (Obviously, you can do more if you wish!)
Each of these three practices are practices in their own right. Once you have worked through them, you can come back to them time and time again. Think of these practices as being like Yoga, the more you practice each one, the easier they will become, and the more you will get out of them.

In this private Facebook group, you can ask me questions, share your work and get inspiration for your ongoing practice. I do regular live sessions where I answer your questions, share videos of my journaling experience, plus every Thursday I post videos on journaling techniques! This is the place you can come to connect and belong, and it is my deepest wish is that this practice sustains you not only through the coming months but for the rest of your life.
