This is your page, your little corner of the internet that contains your learning materials. 

 

This adventure is a coming home for me and I hope it will be the same for you. It is the culmination and distillation of what I have learned in twenty plus years of teaching in the personal development arena.

 

It is first and foremost about learning how to unleash your soul so that you can be fully alive no matter the circumstances. It is about learning how to be fully present for whatever life brings because, underneath your layers of protection and defence, you know who you really are.

 

Joseph Campbell, the famous mythologist wrote “I don’t think people are seeking meaning in their life. I think what they are seeking is to feel the rapture of being alive.” This yearning to feel alive wells up from deep within us and we know it to be real. Unleashing the soul is about learning how to live in ‘radical aliveness’ and is the primary intention of your journaling practice.

Hurrah, your journal is in the post! So what's next?

 

You can expect your journal to take between three and five days to arrive, so while you are waiting you are invited to get yourself comfortable, grab a cup of tea and take a look at the video and PDF under the heading 'Preparing for your Journey'' below. The video and PDF will tell you what you need to do and think about before your journal arrives.

 

Once your journal arrives you are then invited to take a look at the video and PDF for the first month’s session.

 

This first session introduces you to the R.E.S.T. Practice. This Practice which will be the backbone of your ongoing practice. Take your time to get familiar with the R.E.S.T. Practice, it is worth spending time on this session. ​

 

When you are ready you can move on to session two and then to session three. This is essentially a self-paced journey in which you decide how quickly you move through the sessions. However, I would advise that you do between 5 and 10 journal pages for each session before you move on to the next one, this is particularly important for session one where you are learning the fundamentals of the R.E.S.T. Practice. (Obviously, you can do more than 5-10 pages if you wish!)

Each of these three sessions are a practice in their own right, so once you have worked through these three sessions, you can come back to them time and time again. Think of this as a practice like Yoga, the more you practice the sessions the easier they will become, the more you will get out of them.

I will be doing weekly live sessions where I will answer your questions, sharing videos of my journaling experience, plus I will be posting videos on journaling techniques! This is the place you can come to connect and belong and it is my deepest wish is that this practice sustains you not only through the winter months but for the rest of your life.
